Dr. Fanelli has over 25 years of experience in the fields of glaucoma and ocular disease. He has lectured to his colleagues around the world and has published countless articles in educational magazines.

Jamie J. Casper, OD, PhD, FAAO

Dr. Casper completed a residency in ocular disease at The Eye Center of Toledo, a premier referral center serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.

He trained with oculoplastic, cataract, vitreo-retinal, & laser vision correction surgeons as well as glaucoma specialists during his residency training.

A native of Ohio, Dr. Casper enjoys watching college athletics and has earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Dr. Casper has provided free eye care and spectacles to thousands of patients in Central and South America over the last 15 years. He began as a student with the SVOSH program at The Ohio State University College of Optometry and continues on in the role of educator and doctor to teach current students. He has travelled to Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Boliva, Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ghana (Africa) and Haiti on his service trips.

Meredith C. Treece, OD

Dr. Meredith Treece is an honors graduate of North Carolina State University. Following that, she graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. While there, Dr. Treece received the Eagle Vision Award for excellence in ocular disease.

Dr. Treece has a passion for helping people. She has done several optometric mission trips providing eye care in underprivileged areas within the United States and in South America. She enjoys treating ocular disease and fitting contact lenses. Dr. Treece is the head of the Specialty Contact Lens Center at Cape Fear Eye Institute and is trained specifically for fitting contact lenses on difficult eyes.

Dr. Treece is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Optometric Society. She is the past district president of the local chapter.
